- "Big Horn Redimix Trailer Tires Go Up in Flames" - Early in September, at the intersection of West River Road and Fifteen Mile Road in Worland, Wyoming, the tires of a heavy-duty trailer caught fire. The cause of the fire is unknown, and no one was hurt in the incident.
- "StreamSweepers Find 2,100 Pound Tire in River" - In Orange, Virginia, a team of teens conducting ecological restoration in the Rapidan River unearthed a mammoth tire.
